            Even though I didn't have a grandparent this year for Grandparents Day, it was still fun. Grandparents day is a special day where your grandparents get to come to Lutheran Church of the Cross Day School and see what it is like. Normally my grandparents come for Grandparents day, but this year they were unable to attend. Before we had chapel, Claire and I got to hold the doors for all the grandparents. It was interesting to see what all the grandparents looked like and where they were from. After that, we got to go back to Mrs. Hartney's classroom and make a hand tree. I liked doing that. We traced our hand and then cut hearts out that were representing the leaves. It was a very good idea. I gave it to my mom for Valentines Day and she loved it! After all the grandparents left we had a normal day. Grandparents day is always a fun and exciting day of the year. I am excited for it to arrive again next year!
