Out of my mind
This week in Language arts we start reading Out of My Mind. I have read the book
before and really liked it. It is about a girl growing up not able to talk. All
of the doctors thought that she was mentally retarded, but really she was one
of the smartest kids her age. She got a machine and was then able to talk. It
is a really good book and we are still reading it. I am on page 40 or something
like that. We are supposed to be looking for changes in character, themes and
lessons, and connections. You would think it is hard of me to relate to a girl
who can’t talk or walk, but it actually isn’t as hard as you think. She was
always being misunderstood until she got her chance to shine. I love that we
are reading this book in Language Arts! I can’t wait to finish it.
